Years ago I met this couple

Years ago I met this couple.

He was ugly. She was ugly. The kids were ugly. They were all short. Basically hobbits.

They were poor. He was an unskilled laborer. She grew vegetables and chickens in the backyard to supplement their food.

However, they were always happy, loved each other, loved their children, and regularly attended church. Zero chance of divorce or cheating.

These ugly, short, broke people had it better than most of us could ever dream of.

You don’t need to be special to have a wonderful life.

You just need to choose it.
