Privacy Policy

Confidentiality

Everything you share in coaching is confidential. I will not disclose any information about you, your sessions, or your situation to any third party unless compelled to do so by a court order under Portuguese law.

Exception, risk of harm: If I have reasonable belief that there is an imminent risk of serious harm to you or to another person, I may be required to break confidentiality. This is a standard ethical obligation for all coaching professionals.

Anonymized Case Studies

I may reference anonymized case studies in my writing, teaching, or marketing. These are composites or abstractions; no identifying details are included, and no permission is required for anonymized references. If I ever wish to use an attributed quote or testimonial, I will ask for your explicit permission first.

Alias Option

You may use an alias instead of your real name for all coaching interactions. All records will be kept under your chosen alias. This must be requested before coaching begins. Some clients, particularly public figures, prefer this option for additional privacy. If you choose to use an alias, I will refer to you by that alias throughout our work together.

Data Collection & Storage

The information I collect includes:

• Contact information: Your name (or alias), email address, and any contact details you provide.
• Payment information: Processed through third-party payment systems (such as PayPal or online booking platforms). I do not store credit card numbers or banking details.
• Session notes: Stored locally on my personal computer in plain text files. These are never uploaded to any cloud service or stored in any publicly accessible location.

Session Notes

I take notes during sessions to maintain continuity and track progress. These notes are stored in local files on my personal computer and are never shared.

Opting out: You may request that I do not keep notes. If you choose this option, be aware that it will take longer at the start of each session for me to get back up to speed. I recommend that all clients keep their own notes regardless of whether I keep mine.

AI Transcription

With your permission, I may use an AI transcription service to transcribe our sessions. This is always opt-in; I will never transcribe a session without your knowledge and consent.

You will always receive a copy of the transcription. I strongly recommend that you download and keep your copies, as they are a valuable personal resource for reviewing and applying what we discussed.

Data Deletion

I cannot guarantee deletion of your records unless compelled to do so by Portuguese law. If you have used an alias, your records are inherently more difficult to trace to your identity.

Website Analytics

This website uses Umami, a privacy-respecting analytics platform. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. It provides me with aggregate information about how people use this site; nothing more.

Third-Party Services

The following third-party services may process your data in the course of our work together:

• Calendly, scheduling
• PayPal or other payment processors, payment processing
• AI transcription service, session transcription (with your permission only)

Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. By using them, your data is subject to their respective terms.

Governing Law

This privacy policy is governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes relating to this policy will be resolved under Portuguese jurisdiction.
